Gingerbread House

Every year my sister and I make a gingerbread house...we don't make it from scratch, but we always buy a kit with the premade gingerbread walls, so all we have to do is decorate it lol...The decorating is the funest part anyways right? LOL... I saw this gingerbread house stamp in the Michael's dollar spot and knew that I had to get it...I colored it in using my copic markers and glitter pen...I added some glitter dust to all the white to make the snow icing look more glittery...I paper pierced a border around the house and added some red rhinestones for a little extra bling...I added a crystal snowflake to the card to add some more dimension and sparkle...To finish off the card I added the sentiment "Christmas Cheer" from the Snowman for Peace stamp set from Whipper Snapper designs...This card just makes me smile and I hope it makes you smile too...thanks for stopping by and Happy Holidays!!

Owl Christmas

Today I thought I would share with you a Christmas card using one of Beate's old weekend sketch challenges... I just received my QT Hooty stamp set from Pink Cat Studios and thought that the winter owl would fit perfectly in this sketch... I just love all the owls in this set!! I used some snowflake and polka dot DP that I picked up at Hobby Lobby and used my Martha Stewart scallop border punch on the top and bottom edges...I colored in my winter owl with copic markers and added some glitter to the scarf and hat with my paint brush and Shimmerz...I just love my new shimmerz, they add so much bling!! I popped up the owl using some foam mounting tape and framed him out using my scallop circles nestabilities...I stamped the sentiment "Warm Hoooliday wishes" and added a crystal snowflake to it...For the crystal snowflake, I used 2 different Marvy Snowflake punches, dipped them in glossy accents and diamond dust glitter and stuck them together with a little glue...I just love the texture that it gives to the card...As a final touch, I paper pierced the top and bottom of the card using my paper piercer and mat stack from Stampin up...I love the way that this card came together and hope that I can get some more done this weekend!! Thanks for stopping by!!

Free Snow!!

Luckily we don't have any snow here, but I thought this was a fun card to make for all those people up north with snow on the ground...I am sure they would love to just give it all away LOL...Again I used my Snowman for Peace set from Whipper Snapper Designs to create the main image for this card...Don't you just love that wooden sign, it comes with 5 seperate sayings that you can interchange, how great is that!! I made some crystal snowflakes with my marvy large snowflake punch and crystal glitter...I distressed the edges and popped them up with foam mounting tape...The DP is sold as individual sheets from Hobby Lobby, which happens to be 50% off this week...I distressed it using tea ink and a sponge...To finish it off, I added some brown polka dot ribbon and light blue rhinestons...I really like the way that this card came together and I hope that we don't need a Free Snow sign here anytime soon LOL...Enjoy your day!!

One more Snowman card...

Have I told you how much I love this snowman stamp lol...I just can't get enough!! Here is one more card that I made using the Snowman for Peace set from Whipper Snapper Designs...I embossed the front of the card with the Spots and Dots embossing folder and then rubbed Tea Distress ink all over the circles...I think that it made a really neat effect!! I stamped my image and added some glitter to the snowflakes and snowman...I used a snowflake punch that I purchased at Hobby Lobby to make some snowflake embellishments...First I inked the edges of the cut out snowflake with my tea distress ink and then dipped the front of the snowflake in glossy accents (it makes a great glue, and dries super fast) and then dipped it in some very fine white glitter...I cased the idea from Anna's blog, make sure to check out her step by step instructions for creating adorable crystal snowflakes...Thanks for stopping by!!

Christmas Cheer

Today I thought that I would share with you a card that I made for Wednesday's Sketch challenge over at Splitcoast...I used my Snowman for Peace set from Whipper Snapper Designs...I swear I just can't get enough of this cute snowman and all the possibilites...I made the snowflakes from a punch that I bought at a scrapbook store and added a touch of bling with some red rhinestones...I colored in the hat and scarf using my copic markers and added some glitter to the snow and all the snowflakes...it's a little hard to see in the picture...I sponged the edges of the red polka dot paper with my Stampin up Chocolate Chip ink pad and also popped up the snowflakes with some foam mouting tape, I just love that stuff!! This was a fun card to make...thanks for stopping by!!

Cheerful Blue Bird

Sorry that it has taken me so long to post but things have been really busy around here...Today I thought that I would share a card that I made for a coworker who had to put her dog to sleep yesterday and could use some cheering up...I decided to use my Fun & Fast Notes stamp set from stampin up...I just love this little birdie image and thought that it would be perfect to use for this occassion...I colored in the image with my copic markers, popped up the flower with foam mounting tape and added a little bit of bling to the center with a rhinestone...I used last weeks Splitcoast sketch challenge as the base for this card...The DP is from a set of patterned paper that I purchased from Joanns and the yellow ribbon is a left over scrap that I found in my fiber drawer...I try to use scraps whenever possible!! LOL...To finish off the card I used my mat stack and paper piercer from stampin up to add some texture...I hope this card cheers her up and helps to brighten her day!! Thanks for stopping by!!
