***For this card I used the stamp set called "Home Sweet Home" from Shirley's 2 Girls...I just love this cute little hive and bee image...I thought it would be perfect as a welcome to the neighorhood-type of card...I used my swirls embossing folder and cuttlebug to add some dimension to the base of the card and paper pierced a border around the main image to add texture...I added some corduroy brown buttons to the bottom of the card and popped them up on 1 inch squares using some DP and foam mounting squares...I really love the way this card turned out and can't wait to see what amazing creations you come up with!! ***UPDATE:Here is my special project...Not only did I follow the twisted thursday sketch, but I also made this project for the 222 challenge over at Shirley's 2 Girls...Gotta love those 2 in 1 projects lol...I used the DIGI image"Mary, Mary" available for download from S2Gs and centered my whole project around it...I also decorated a flower seed packet with the Mary Mary quite contrary poem, put it on a stick and added it to the pale...You can check out all the details of the 222 challenge HERE...Be sure to check it out!!

FREE S2G Image and Twisted Thursday Challenge #3

Today I thought that I would share with you a card that I made for Shirley's 2 Girls Twisted Thursday Challange...Yes it's that time of the week again, when those lovely ladies from Shirley's 2 Girls want to challenge stampers everywhere to participate in their fun sketch challenges. And of course it's called "Twisted Thursday" because there is a twist to the sketch. This week's twist is to ADD HARDWARE. We'd love to have you all play along with us! If you have Shirley's 2 Girls stamps, please use them!! If you don't own any S2G stamps (YET! hehehe), then we would love for you to use this digital image FREE!!!...It's called "Mouse with Flowers" and will be available for purchase next week...All you have to do is save a copy of this image to your computer or download it...but don't hesitate because this image will disappear after this sketch challenge ends...

Once you have your digital image downloaded, then please create a project using this week's sketch AND add hardware (brads, clips, staples, or any other type of metal hardware that you might have in your stash!). Today I want to share a card with you that I made for Shirley's 2 Girls first ever sketch challenge...The Design Team for Shirley's 2 Girls is THRILLED to be hosting the very first Twisted Thursday challenge! S2G’s images are so cute, sassy and sooooo much fun to color and create with! For now, the Twisted Thursday challenges will be sketch challenges. This may change in the future, but doesn’t everyone just love a good sketch?!! So, for now that’s what it is. We call this TWISTED Thursday because it’s a sketch challenge, with a “twist.” Here is the twist for this Thursday's challenge:
