Happy Winter

Winter is almost here and boy has it felt like winter here the past few days!! Last night we had a frost warning and the temperatures got down in the thirties!! It never gets this cold this early in FLORIDA lol!! So I thought I would make a winter card...This weekends sketch challenge from Beate was the perfect opportunity to use my new Snowman for Peace set from Whipper Snapper...I just love this new set!! If you would like to participate in this challenge then click on the link above and submit your card to Splitcoast...The DP that I used for this card is from a stack that I purchased from Hobby Lobby...I used my cuttlebug and swiss dots embossing folder for the base of the card...I colored in the snowman with my copic markers and added a touch of bling with my crystal stickels...To finish it off I added some black brads and Polka dot ribbon...I just love the way that this card turned out...Thanks for stopping by!!

Pink week at SCS

Today I thought that I would share with you a card that I made for pink week over at splitcoast stampers...Since October is Breast Cancer awareness month they are collecting cards to send to an organization called Chemo Angels...Chemo Angels is a volunteer organization dedicated to bringing happiness to the lives of those undergoing chemotherapy...If you would like to learn more about this organization or donate a card, then please click on the link above!! This is the card that I am sending to them to bring a little sunshine to someone's day...The sketch that I used is from Beate's weekend sketch challenge and you can check out all the details of her challenge here...Also, the color combination that I used for this card is from this weeks Splitcoast color challenge...pink, olive and brown, who doesn't love those colors!! The main image is made up of some felt flowers that I picked up at a specialty store...I also used my nestabilities, large pewter brads, funky fibers and photo corner punch...For the faux stitching I used my mat pack from Stampin up and paper piercer...The polka dot paper is from a print stack that I found at Target and the sunshine sentiment is from Lizzie Anne Designs...I hope this card can bring someone a little sunshine!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!
